You will need a thorough examination by your surgeon to know for sure. It is possible that he/she will send you to a retina specialist for a second opinion before surgery. There is a small chance that the retina specialist would elect to perform a laser treatment to the lattice degeneration before surgery and that PRK would be favored over LASIK.
